ATSB Anro Teguh delivered comprehensive high-voltage transmission line construction and substation works at Malaysia’s largest hydroelectric power generation facility.
All transmission infrastructure was strategically constructed with precision tower foundation works, cable stringing across challenging terrain, substation equipment installation, and complete underground cable systems throughout the Kenyir power complex. The large-scale installation approach includes mass concrete foundations in hilly terrain, steel tower erection, high-voltage conductor stringing using specialized tensioning equipment, cable drum handling, and fiber optic integration—ensuring reliable power evacuation from the dam’s generating units to the national grid. The comprehensive scope covers civil engineering works, transmission tower construction, underground cable trenching and laying, termination works, earthing systems, and complete testing and commissioning—technical excellence that delivers critical infrastructure connecting renewable hydroelectric power to consumers across the East Coast. The meticulous quality control and safety protocols including work in remote locations, coordination with dam operations, and environmental compliance guarantee project success, establishing robust transmission infrastructure that maximizes the hydroelectric potential of Malaysia’s largest man-made lake.
This TNB Kenyir project exemplifies our capability in mega-scale utility infrastructure, with enhanced scope covering mountainous terrain construction, multiple voltage levels, extensive underground cable networks, substation integration, and complex logistics in remote dam environments compared to standard transmission line projects.
